Carriage House
Our Carriage House design is a historically accurate recreation of a traditional wood carriage house door – but it’s constructed out of durable steel. It allows you to have the eye-catching charm of the carriage door without the expense and maintenance of a wood door.
Durable & Low Maintenance
The deeply embossed durable steel used in this door makes it extremely low-maintenance. Its roll-formed steel tongue and groove joints between sections produce a superior weather seal and enhance the door’s structural strength. Contouring to the floor, the bottom weather-seal gives maximum protection from the elements and is easily replaced if damaged. The aluminum retainer is both durable and corrosion-resistant.
Insulation Levels
When it comes to insulation, we offer a variety of insulation options to meet your needs.
- Level I: An economical, non-insulated, single steel skin door.
- Level II: Single steel skin construction with polystyrene insulation, covered with white vinyl backing. (R=6)
- Level III: Sandwich steel construction uses two steel skins laminated to a polystyrene core for added strength and a higher insulation value. (R=9.65)
- Level IV: All the traditional charm with the high-tech construction of a foamed-in-place polyurethane core between two steel skins. (Outstanding R=16.55)
Window Choices
You can customize your Carriage House door by adding windows. We offer a variety of window options to make your garage door shine! Windows are available in clear or glue chip, depending on the model. Insulated glass and designer glass is also available for some models.
Color Choices
Our paint system includes a full millimeter of baked-on polyester paint, which is integral to our 6-coat corrosion barrier process. The Carriage House door is available in White, Sandstone, Almond, Brown, Desert Tan, Bronze, Black or 190 other custom factory powder-coated options. Doors are often field painted to match your color scheme. Please note that color options differ depending on the insulation level that you choose.
